Finance capabilities

Every number has a row behind it.

From a bank account to a security trade, everything posts through the same ledger.

Accounts with their own interest

Current, savings, investment and cash accounts; IBAN stored as last four; cards can be frozen and unfrozen.

Term deposits that behave

Payout schedules, rate history, auto-renew, maturity and early close — each move posted to the ledger.

Investments and distributions

Bank products with movements, balance logs and a variance check before a value is accepted.

Securities on average cost

Append-only trades, manual prices, realised and unrealised profit, and allocation by holding.

Loans with a real payoff plan

A generated amortisation table plus snowball and avalanche planners for debts.

Ledger and reconciliation

Trial balance, chart of accounts, line classification, CSV/XLS import and statement matching.

Built-in controls

The ledger does not take shortcuts.

Large amounts need a second pair of eyes, and a closed period stays closed.

Approval threshold

Entries above the family threshold (5,000 by default) park as PendingApproval until a second approver acts.

Period lock

Posting and reversal stop at the closed-through date, so backdated entries cannot rewrite a month.

Posted means posted

A posted entry is reversed, never edited; classification is refused after posting.

Validated and audited

Positive amounts, enabled currency and account currency must agree; every action leaves an audit trail.

A month in the life of the ledger

Log, approve, reconcile, close.

The family knows where the money went without rebuilding it at year end.
1

Set the rules

Choose the approval threshold and the closed-through date.

2

Open the accounts

Enable currencies and banks, then add accounts with opening balances.

3

Log the movements

Income, expense and transfers one by one or in a bulk batch.

4

Approve what needs it

Entries above the limit wait for a second approver.

5

Reconcile and close

Match the bank statement, close the session, then close the period.

Why it matters

A ledger you can explain.

Family money is shared money; the record should be readable by everyone who shares it.

  • One GL for deposits, loans and investments
  • Approvals above a family threshold
  • Closed periods stay closed
  • Posted rows are reversed, never edited
  • FX rates with manual override
  • CSV/XLS import with match suggestions

Connected to the family

Money has people behind it.

Every document names the member, and every movement lands in one ledger.

Family core

Accounts, deposits and loans record the family member responsible.

Beneficiaries

Beneficiaries and groups act as counterparties for family transfers.

FX feed

A daily feed supplies rates; manual rates always win where entered.

Audit and notifications

Approvals notify the right member and deep-link to the account.

Attachments

Statements and documents attach to the account without leaving the ledger.

One posting path

Deposits, loans and investments all post through the same transaction service.

The numbers should not live in three apps.

Put the family's accounts, deposits and loans on one ledger with a clear audit trail.
