Memories

Photos that remember.
The day, the place, the people.

A family-scoped photo library that reads the dates and places already inside your photos, then lets the family find them by day, album, map or person.

Memory capabilities

A library that organises itself.

Upload once; the timeline, map, albums and people views are built from the photo's own metadata.

A day-grouped timeline

Months are jumpable and pages load as you scroll; search covers caption, city, country and place.

Albums with four characters

Family, Personal, Occasion and Legacy albums with covers and drag order — and a bulk picker from the timeline.

On This Day

The dashboard surfaces prior years on today's date, latest albums, favorites and recent uploads.

A map from the photo's own GPS

EXIF coordinates cluster into a family memory map with thumbnail popups and a 2,000-photo cap per view.

People tags and face identities

Tag members by hand or confirm detected faces; open one person's photos in a single view.

Recycle bin, edits and export

Restore single or bulk items, rotate or flip photos, star favorites and export a ZIP archive.

Built-in controls

The photos stay in the family.

There are no public share links by design — every view is scoped to the family and served through a signed URL.

Roles split viewing from managing

Every member can view; settings, album deletion and permanent purge are reserved for Parent and ClanHead.

Family-scoped storage

Every media row carries the family, and the file store refuses paths outside it.

Signed, expiring links

HMAC-SHA256 tokens bind family, path and a 1–60 minute expiry; the link cannot be reused elsewhere.

Validation and quota

Images are converted to WebP with thumbnails; disk quota and the recycle purge job protect the host.

From camera roll to family archive

Upload once, revisit for years.

The family adds the meaning; the system does the organising.
1

Start the Memory trial

The Memory tile on the home hub opens the module with its own licence.

2

Upload a batch

Up to 500 photos at once; dates, places and thumbnails are extracted on the server.

3

Make an album

Pick a type, set a cover and drag the order.

4

Name the people

Tag members and confirm face identities so a person's photos are one click away.

5

Revisit and restore

Browse timeline or map; a wrong delete is restored from the recycle bin.

Family-only archive
Why it matters

Private by default.

No share buttons, no public galleries — the family archive is not a social network.

  • No public share links
  • Signed links expire in minutes
  • Storage paths scoped to the family
  • WebP originals with thumbnails
  • Recycle bin before permanent delete
  • Face naming runs on your own host

Connected to the family

Memories know the roster.

People, storage and the home hub connect the archive to the rest of Sulala.

Family core

Member identities drive upload ownership, tags and the people views.

Family hub

The home hub shows album count and the latest family activity.

Storage quota

The family plan's disk quota is checked before every upload.

Signed file delivery

Every image and download passes through a family token, never a public path.

Face detection

Uploads queue a detection job; names stay the family's decision.

ZIP export

Take the archive out when you need to, without a support ticket.

Keep the memories

The photos are already on a phone.

Give them a family home that will still make sense in twenty years.
