Agreement and scope
Sulala is a private family platform operated by DataEnabler. The public pages describe the product; the family platform behind sign-in provides the modules. These terms apply to both.
If you use Sulala for a family account, you confirm that you are authorised to act for that account where the service asks you to invite members, change roles or approve records.
Family accounts and access
A family account is created by its first owner, who then invites the people who belong to it. Invitations are bound to a household and a role, expire after seven days and can be used once. There is no public sign-up into an existing family.
Each member is responsible for keeping their own password and devices secure. Sessions can be reviewed and revoked from the profile, and changing a password ends the other sessions.
Family content and ownership
The family owns the records it adds: people and relationships, photos and stories, accounts and loans, vehicles and documents, and Quran progress. Sulala hosts and processes that content only to provide the service, back it up and display it to the people the family authorises.
You are responsible for having the right to upload photos, documents, stories and other material, and for the accuracy of records you enter. Exports — GEDCOM, KML, HTML, ZIP, CSV — are created at the family's request; once a file leaves the platform, Sulala no longer controls it.
Acceptable use
Use Sulala for lawful family record-keeping. Do not attempt to access another family's records, bypass a role or family scope, disrupt the platform, or upload malicious code.
Examples of prohibited use
- Uploading content that infringes another person's rights or privacy.
- Impersonating a family member or sharing an account between people.
- Scraping, probing or automated access outside the interfaces we provide.
- Uploading a person's photos or stories without the permission required by the family.
Trials, subscriptions and billing
New families may start with a thirty-day trial. Paid modules are billed through a payment provider on a recurring basis until cancelled. Prices are shown in the currency presented at checkout, and applicable taxes may be added.
Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues for the period already covered. You can manage billing inside the account or contact us if something looks wrong. Card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by Sulala.
Module-specific notes
Each module is a record-keeping tool, and some have limits worth stating plainly.
What to keep in mind
- Finance is not financial, tax or legal advice. Balances and reports depend on the entries the family makes.
- Vehicle reminders and expiry countdowns depend on the dates entered and do not replace official registration or insurance notices.
- Memories: permanent deletion after the recycle bin cannot be undone, and exported archives leave the platform's protection.
- Family tree: marking a record Private or Locked restricts it inside Sulala, but an export made before that restriction keeps its original content.
- Quran is part of the free family core and carries no ads or subscription gate.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Sulala available and secure, and we may perform maintenance, change features or retire a capability. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes that affect stored records, and exports remain available for content the family owns.
The service is provided on an as-is basis to the extent permitted by law; we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Suspension and ending the service
You may stop using Sulala at any time. The family owner can request deletion of the family account; we will explain what is removed immediately and what remains in audit or backup records.
We may suspend or end access where these terms are breached, where the platform or its users are at risk, or where the law requires it. Where practical, we will allow an export first.
Disclaimer and liability
To the extent permitted by law, Sulala is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss that results from records the family entered incorrectly or exported outside the platform. Our aggregate liability for a claim is limited to the fees paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and disputes are subject to the competent courts there, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules.
